The advertised jackpot for Wednesday night’s Powerball game has reached $208 million. Once again, lottery officials are encouraging players to play responsibly and avoid the temptation to buy more tickets than you can afford.
The actual jackpot is about $130.7 million if the winner chooses the cash option, which most winners do. The $208 million option would be received in 30 annuity payments.
There have been eleven drawings since December 29, 2012 without a winner. Wednesday’s jackpot is the highest since November 2012.
The odd of winning the multi-state Powerball jackpot is 1 in 175 million.
