A power pole sits precariously on an eroding creek bank. Neighbors made numerous calls but only got results after a Fact Finders report.
The power pole provided electrical lines to Betty Bauer home. Betty said, "I'd sure hate to see those wires go down at one time. I think in the winter we'd be left in the cold."
Betty lives in northwest Omaha and Cole Creek runs behind her home. The bank is eroding right next to the pole.
After a Fact Finders report on the hazard, OPPD installed a new pole up the hill and several feet away from the bank. Betty said the OPPD crew told her the line to her home will be switched over Tuesday to the new pole.
Betty said she's glad not to worry about the lines coming down and leaving her in the dark.
