Pop Tabs in Abbey's Memory

You may remember Abbey Rotert. She lost her battle to a rare disease seven months ago but her memory lives on.

Her family continues a tradition of collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.

On Tuesday, they brought in their haul to a metal recycling center.

Jennifer Tyler, with Ronald McDonald House, said, “It’s incredible. It’s incredible to see the generosity of spirit that these families are willing to give to other families going through a similar situation."

The drop-off was about 1.8 million tabs bringing the family's total close to 4-million and they’re still collecting.
