Omaha Police are looking for a man's missing guns, after the victim says he had 12 stolen from his home Thursday.
Just before 11:00 Thursday night, police were called to the area of 30th and Titus, where a man told officers he had a family member over earlier in the day. That family member had friends with him.
The relative left the house, while the two friends stayed behind.
When the family member returned to the house, the two others were gone, and 12 guns were missing from the home, along with more than 1000 rounds of various ammunition.
The Omaha Police Department would like to remind gun owners to keep their firearms locked up in order to prevent thefts such as the one above. It is also recommended that gun owners record the serial numbers of their firearms, in order to make them easier to locate in the event they are stolen.
