A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for northeastern Adair County in Iowa until 7 p.m. Sunday.
Omaha police are again investigating a shooting, this one Thursday afternoon that left a man seriously wounded.
Police said someone inside a passing car opened fire at 42nd and Bedford around 3:30 p.m., wounding 21-year-old Felix Olajuwon, who was first taken by private vehicle to a fire station at 45th and Military and then taken to Creighton University Medical Center. His injuries are not life threatening.
Investigators said Olajuwon told police he had been shot while walking out of the J-N-J Grocery. He was unable to provide officers with any suspect information.
The shooting came exactly 24 hours after two teenagers were shot within a mile of one other on Wednesday afternoon. One of those boys later died. Thursday's shooting happened within blocks of Wednesday's homicide.
