Omaha Police are searching for the drivers of two SUV’s who they say couldn’t keep it between the lines overnight.
The first was a black SUV which was found at 61st and Hillsdale near Karen Western Elementary.
The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage after police say the driver struck a light pole at 72nd and L Streets.
Witnesses tell police the driver veered off the road, took out the light pole and kept driving.
Not to be outdone; the driver of a white SUV took out two light poles between 33rd and 36th Streets on Leavenworth at about 4AM.
Witnesses directed officers to the SUV but the trail of engine fluids was easy to follow.
Officers remained on scene until an OPPD lineman could ensure the power was off.
Police tell Channel 6 News two men were seen leaving the vehicle and walking north on 36th Street. They have not been located.
