A Lincoln man is behind bars after trying to run over his ex-girlfriend Wednesday morning.
Police were called to investigate a reported domestic disturbance just after midnight. Thirty-seven-year-old Keefe Turner was allegedly at the woman's home to pick up belongings when he broke out the windows of a car belonging to his ex and her roommate.
Police say the woman grabbed an artifact spear and used it to flatten Turner's tire before he tried to run her over. She avoided the car, but suffered burns to her hands.
Police located Turner at 12th and O streets. He led officers on a brief pursuit, which police called off due to safety concerns. Turner was later located at Northwest 18th and West O where he resisted arrest and was tasered before being taken into custody.
Turner faces charges of second-degree domestic assault, making terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony, fleeing to avoid arrest, driving under suspension, willful reckless driving, resisting arrest and failure to comply.
