A man was arrested Sunday morning for assaulting an Omaha police officer.

Police were called to an apartment building near North 59th Street and Northwest Radial Highway around 3:30 a.m. to investigate reports of a naked man assaulting tenants.

Officers saw the suspect run into an apartment. When they knocked on the door, the man opened the door and punched one officer in the face. After deploying a Taser, police were able to take 55-year-old Adolph Phillips into custody.

He was booked for felony assault on an officer, resisting arrest, obstruction and two counts of misdemeanor assault.
