Police are investigating a shooting report after a 29-year-old man walked into the Alegent-Creighton Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound early Monday.
Just after 2 a.m., Jermaine Stewart was dropped off by someone driving a black Chevy Avalance. Police said after dropping the victim off, the driver fled the scene and collided with a fence. The driver has not yet been found.
Stewart told officers he was shot while sitting in the Avalanche near 26th and Izard. So far, police have not made any arrests.
Stewart is expected to be okay.
