Omaha Police are trying to sort out details of an apparent robbery, initially reported as a carjacking. It happened near Karen Western Elementary at 60th and H around 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Police say there was initially a gathering of six or seven people in the area. They say that two men in that group allegedly robbed three others at gunpoint.
The robbers then reportedly took a white Pontiac Grand Am that belonged to one of the robbery victims.
The Omaha Police helicopter, Able 1, was providing air support in the area, in search of the car.
Police noticed what they believed was that vehicle near 45th and Curtis around 8:20 but lost track of the car.
