A woman tasered by Omaha police Friday night faces several charges.
Police were called to North 42nd and Evans streets Friday where a woman was reported to be standing in the intersection yelling obscenities. Fifty-six-year-old Christine Mincer was taken into custody and brought to Creighton University Medical Center. Police suspected she was intoxicated and possibly under the influence of drugs.
Once at the hospital, staff asked officers to remove the handcuffs to examine Mincer, who became combative, biting, scratching and grabbing at the medical personnel’s genital areas. Mincer was tasered as she continued to fight.
Mincer then became cooperative to the point where officers could secure her to a bed. After being released from the hospital, she was booked for disorderly conduct and assault of a health care professional.
