Omaha police are investigating two shootings that occurred Monday afternoon; called in within a half hour of each other.
Officers were dispatched to 42nd and Kansas, where witnesses reported people inside two vehicles were shooting at each other. One male victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but is expected to survive. Police said several houses were hit in the gunfire.
Police were also called out on reports of shots fired near 39th and Boyd. Investigators said a male teenager was shot in the back. He was taken to the hospital by a family member.
There's no word yet on whether any arrests have been made. Police believe the two shootings may be related.
