Two people were arrested after a standoff with police ended in Bellevue Wednesday morning.
Lt. Bob Wood told Channel 6 News officers were called to the home near Thomas Drive and Woodbine Avenue just west of Bellevue University around 6 a.m. after five people entered and refused to leave. He said someone in the group knew a person in the house who was taken to jail Tuesday night.
After a call to 911, police were told someone inside had a gun and was "ready to shoot it out with police." It turned out there was no gun.
Officers were able to get four of the five out of the home. The last man was hiding in the garage and was found only after police searched and cleared the house. That man and another person who refused to leave were booked on trespassing and other charges.
A neighbor told Channel 6 that officers were called to the same address Monday for a fight that occurred in the street. No arrests were made in connection with that incident. Police confirmed they've been to the house before, but didn’t have any information on Monday’s alleged altercation.
