Omaha police say 19-year old Raymond Rhoades will have some explaining to do before a judge. Rhoades was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly stealing a car while out on bond for another theft charge.
Police say the victim, was warming up his vehicle near 51st & Davenport about 6:30 a.m. Someone climbed into his vehicle and backed out, hitting a fire hydrant in the process. The victim then followed the suspect in another vehicle to the area of 41st & Charles.
The suspect then fled from the stolen vehicle. Officers found Rhoades at 45th and Charles and took him into custody without further incident. He was booked for felony theft, bond review, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
