Plea agreement in domestic assault case.
31-year-old Jerry R. Vaughn of Omaha pled guilty to third degree assault, a Class I Misdemeanor. He originally had been charged with felony terroristic threats but accepted the plea agreement. There is no agreement on sentencing.
The Cassgram reports Vaughn was arrested last April after an incident in Louisville. Deputy Cass County Attorney Richard Fedde said Vaughn and his girlfriend entered a residence at 4am, began arguing with a male and female there, and pulled a gun during the incident. Fedde said Vaughn did not point the gun directly at anyone but did make threats. It was later determined it was a pellet gun.
Attendance in a batterer’s program is part of the plea agreement.
Vaughn is free on bond.
