A pickup and cement truck collision sends one driver to the hospital after being trapped in the wreckage. The crash happened Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Highways 75 & 34 near Union, Nebraska in Cass County.
A cement truck driven by 45-year-old Roger Clarke was northbound on Highway 75 and attempted to make a right hand turn, according to the sheriff's report obtained by the Cassgram.
A pickup driven by 25-year-old William Moyle, of Montana, also northbound, attempted to pass the cement truck on the shoulder. The pickup collided and rolled in a ditch. The driver had to be extricated by fire and rescue volunteers.
Moyle was flown by medical helicopter to Creighton Hospital, but his condition is not known.
