Nemaha County, Nebraska residents with the phone exchanges of Peru, Brownville and Nemaha remain without service Sunday due to a line being cut by a construction crew at the intersection of highways 67 and 136. All landline service is unavailable, including 911. Calls to 911 on a cell phone will go through.

Windstream customers in Richardson County are also affected and won't be able to contact 911 even with a cell phone.

Anyone unable to reach 911 for an emergency is urged to go to the nearest fire station.
