Pet stylist Cynthia Norman is getting things ready for a day at work. “It's just, your walking into your office every day. You have everything equipped here, everything that you could think of.”

Her job is anything but normal. “Anything that has to do with grooming, we do it right here in this van.”

The Mobile Paw Spa was the brainchild of Sheila Kusmierski. “It's a groomer on wheels that comes to you and grooms your dog or cat in their vehicle, right outside your home. I have seen it in other areas, not in Omaha, so it wasn't available to me and I really thought, well, why don't I just start one then?”

This mobile pet spa was put together by a company out of Indiana. Total price tag, $100,000. Not bad for a Mercedes. It took about four months to equip and it's well equipped to handle anything and everything when it comes to pet grooming.

It’s heated in the winter and cool in the summer with details covered right down to the nail polish for those pets who want to be pretty. “You want to go bye bye, Sadie?”

Customers are willing to roll the dice and try it. “First time she was groomed I sat in there with her just so I could get a grip on what she was getting in for,” said Judi Anding. “It was great.”

The van is creating a buzz around Omaha after a month of being in business. “People are calling, when we're driving down the street they're calling the office and saying, hey, I just saw this van going down, what do you guys do? Well, we want in. So, we're booking.”

According to the paw spa, what keeps them rolling are customers wanting convenience when it comes to pets, especially when it comes to grooming.

The Mobile Paw Spa says the price points are similar to a regular groomer, though there is a $20 convenience fee. Once the business grows, the plan is to add more vans to the fleet to meet demand.
