A reminder for pet owners in Omaha and Sarpy County: it’s time to get those licenses.
The lines weren't very long Monday afternoon when our cameras stopped by the Nebraska Humane Society. The deadline to license your pets is this Saturday, March 15th.
More than 120,000 pets will be licensed and you don't have to do it in person.
The Humane Society’s Pam Wiese said, “I think a lot of people are online licensing, which is nice. And a lot of people are sending it through the mail to avoid the lines which is the way you want to do it."
The Humane Soceity at 90th and Fort is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekend.
If you don't license your pet you could face extra fees in addition to the licensing charge.
