A man whose wife was injured in a boating accident Sunday has been charged with boating under the influence. David Stander was booked and then released after paying 10% of a $2,500 bond.
His wife, Jennifer Stander, is expected to make a full recovery.
Rescue crews were called to the Sarpy County lake, near 252nd Street and Fair View Road, around eight o'clock Sunday evening. When they arrived, they were told Jennifer Stander was breathing, but unconscious.
Witnesses told police three adults were being pulled on a tube by a jet ski. The tube hit a wake and one of the riders was thrown from the tube striking the other two riders in the head with his knees.
Stander was taken from the scene by medical helicopter, but is expected to be okay.
