The city of Omaha has people put away their trash bins soon after crews come by. Otherwise, based on a recently passed ordinance, people could be fined. It's an effort to keep the streets looking clean. However, now some are saying those same crews are not helping in that effort.
People living in Omaha understand that Deffenbaugh crews work hard, but they want better.
"They did a really poor job and they scattered the trash all over the street," said Tyrone Eure of Omaha.
"They end up spilling trash all over the street, even some up on the yard, and all over the sidewalks," said Mandy Loomis-Taylor of Omaha.
Public Works officials say that they can keep tabs on their crews, but only if people report carelessness when they see it.
