A Panama, Nebraska man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a hit-and-run accident that killed a man walking his dog along a Lancaster County Road last month.

Thirty-three-year-old James Gibbs faces charges of manslaughter, leaving the scene of an injury accident, careless driving and driving left of center for the accident that took the life of 62-year-old Gregory Nicklas.

Nicklas, of rural Hickman, was found by his wife near their driveway at South 96th Street south of Wagon Train Road, about 15 miles south of Lincoln, just before 11:30 p.m. on May 29th. The pickup that hit him was later found in Panama.
