A pedestrian was seriously hurt after being hit by a car in midtown Omaha Tuesday evening.
Just before 5 p.m., a 2012 Ford Escape was traveling west near 31st & Leavenworth when the car hit someone walking in the crosswalk. The driver told police he had a green light, but a witness states the driver had a red light.
The driver has been identified as 24-year-old Ryan Shaneyfelt of Elkhorn. The pedestrian has been identified as 39-year-old Angela Griffin of Omaha. Griffin is recovering from a non-life threatening injury to the forehead at the Nebraska Medical Center.
At this point, no charges have been filed in this case.
