An Omaha woman critically injured when she was hit by a car while crossing the street died Thursday morning.
Police say 83-year-old Donna Albrecht suffered a broken pelvis and a brain hemorrhage when she was struck by a driver making a left turn from eastbound Kingswood Drive to northbound 132nd Street just before 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The driver, 63-year-old Lynn Givens of Omaha, was initially cited for failure to yield. Police are consulting with the Douglas County Attorney’s Office to determine if any additional charges will be filed.
