Parents of OPS Elementary Students Speak Out At Board Meeting

Parents are pleading with the Omaha Public School Board to reconsider a decision to move eight principals to different elementary schools.

For the second school board meeting in a row, parents packed in to tell board members they don't like the change.

"I hope that we can turn the tide, but honestly I kinda think like it is a done deal. I hope that Omaha would come out and support us, but ya know they have to do what they think is right, but more than anything Mrs. Burghardt what we think, and that is important to us," said Katina Van Cleave, mother of OPS student.

The board said staffing changes happen every year, and they stand with the decision.
