A Lincoln man has been put in the unenviable position of being in the news for being arrested for stealing women’s underwear,
A 56-year-old woman, who was watching a house in southwest Lincoln while the owners were on vacation, reported seeing the lights on in the house and a suspicious car in the driveway. She immediately called police after looking through the window and seeing a man inside.
When officers arrived, they found a broken window and 35-year old Isaiah Martinez in the house. They searched him and found the undergarments in the lining of his coat. Nothing else appeared to be missing from the home.
Police say Martinez initially claimed to know the homeowners, but the homeowners said they do not know him.
He was arrested for burglary.
