More than two hundred pastors, business and community leaders met Thursday to discuss possible solutions to the many issues that plague North Omaha neighborhoods.
The group called the "City Missional Network" held a luncheon at Christ Community Church and talked about education, housing and development concerns and how they are working to address them.
One member of Bridge Church said community outreach helped change her life.
“It took church, it took families, it took school, it was a collaborative effort,” said Bobbie Johnson.
The group also recognized two police officers who have made an impact in North Omaha communities, and asked Mayor Jean Stothert questions about her vision for the city.
Members say they want to collaborate with city officials to find solutions.
“One of our hearts and our goals is to engage as many people as possible to be a part of the solution," said Josh Dotzler, Pastor of Bridge church.
