A 28-year-old Oregon man has been given 180 days in jail and two years of probation for marijuana possession in Nebraska.

Duyen Nguyen, of Portland, Ore., was sentenced Thursday. He'd pleaded guilty to possession of more than a pound of marijuana after prosecutors lowered the charge. He was fined $4,000 as well.

The Nebraska State Patrol says Nguyen was arrested in February last year after two vehicles were pulled over in north Lincoln for driving too close to each other. The patrol says 38.5 pounds of marijuana was seized, and Nguyen and two other men were arrested.

Twenty-nine-year-old Ryan Tran got 15 to 24 months behind bars. Thirty-one-year-old Nguyen Pham got 12 to 18 months. Both are from
Worcester, Mass.
