Opening statements were presented Monday in the murder trial of Anthony Davis. He’s charged with three counts of First-Degree Murder.
Davis is accused of killing 33-year-old Miguel Avalos Senior and his two sons on July 9, 2012.
Prosecutors say Davis had planned to rob Avalos of money and drugs and wound up killing the three men in the process.
In addition to the three counts of murder, Davis also faces weapons charges.
A jury was seated in the case last week. The trial is expected to last another two weeks.
