An Omaha man is under arrest after police found he was carrying a defaced handgun while walking down the street.
According to police reports, while on patrol near 61st and Maple an officer noticed a man walking south on 61st Street carrying an open container of alcohol around 10:30 last Thursday evening.
The officer stopped the man and conducted a pat down search. The man was carrying a 9mm Taurus handgun tucked in his waistband and two magazines loaded with a total of 11 rounds. The officer noticed the serial number on the gun was scratched off.
Twenty-two-year-old Jordan Clemente was arrested for carrying a defaced handgun, carrying a concealed weapon, open container, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
