For the second year in a row, people at the Open Door Mission will be able to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables.
This year the Mission planted a 14,000 square-foot garden complete with potatoes, squash, tomatoes and various other vegetables and fruits.
The violent weather forced workers to replant the 2014 plot but they are still expecting a good crop of produce.
The Mission’s Gary Strubing said, "We do it as a sustainable feature just to help give back. All this food goes to the Open Door Mission and I just think it’s a good way to help us and help the community."
Last year, the Mission's garden produced 5,500 pounds of vegetables.
