A mysterious death has a daughter demanding answers. Four months since her mother's body was found, the cause is still unknown.
Keisha Spears, 38, seemed full of life to her daughter. "When I look at those pictures she should still be here," said her daughter Deja Stephenson.
She's determined to find out why her mother's death certificate reads "undetermined."
"I want it to say solved, that's what i want!"
In April - Keisha Spears died in the home of her boyfriend Kevin Broberg - who called 911.
After the autopsy, the Stanton County Sheriff says the manner and cause of death remains undetermined -- but he's waiting on more lab tests.
"30 items that were removed," said Stephenson, "And nothing has come of it. It's still undetermined with all this evidence. That includes fluid from a wine glass. I want to know if she was poisoned."
Sheriff Unger: "We've done everything we possibly could in the case and the investigation is on going."
"I just want to know the truth. I don't like seeing undetermined," says Deja, who wants another agency to look into it.
Fact Finders has been told the Nebraska State Patrol is not involved in the investigation
Just days before her death, Spears sent her daughter an iPhone clip with a message for her grandson. The last visual contact with her family
Hi Alex - It's grandma," she said before her death.
While a hello for a grandson is part of the video message, it has the feel of a goodbye.
"i just hope you remember me, so watch this video often," said Spears on the video.
Deja hopes when Alex is old enough to understand, she can tell him how she died
The dead woman's boyfriend -- Kevin Broberg -- served less than a month in jail for lying to law enforcement officers about a different incident last year.
He told deputies Keisha Spears was in the hospital but deputies found her tied up in his house.
Broberg could not be reached for comment.
