A man was seriously wounded in a shooting near an Omaha apartment complex Thursday morning.
Witnesses told police they heard as many as 10 shots fired at North 65th and Boyd streets at 2:15 a.m. Minutes later, 25-year-old Jerrell Jackson arrived at Immanuel Hospital and Medical Center by private vehicle before being transferred to Alegent Creighton University Medical Center.
Police say Jackson "provided officers with little additional information" other than to confirm he was shot at 65th and Boyd. He is expected to recover.
