Monday marks the last day of the 2014 Nebraska State Fair, and organizers are hoping for a late push for attendees.
According to fair workers, the attendance at this year's fair have been down compared to 2013. Fair representatives report that attendance is down by as much as 4-percent.
Rain is believed to be a big factor in the lowered attendance.
Rain throughout the past week forced the cancellation of Friday, Saturday and Sunday's tractor pulls.
"The rains have simply made it impossible to use the inside track needed for the tractor pulls," said State Fair executive director Joseph McDermott.
The fair opens for it's last day on Labor Day at 8 a.m. The ticket office will remain open until 6 p.m.
Tickets for adults cost $10. Children tickets to the 2014 Nebraska State Fair cost $3 if the child is over 3-years-old.
