Witnesses told police an ongoing argument may have led to a shooting that sent a man to the hospital in critical condition Sunday morning.
Twenty-six-year-old Santangelo Gonzales-Woods was found suffering from a head wound at North 40th and Pinkney streets in Omaha around 2:30 a.m.
Mary Pigney said the victim was found in her driveway. “There was a party most of the night and probably 2:30, 3 o clock, there were gunshots and yelling and screaming and a kid lying there bleeding. We came out, waited for the cops and the ambulance and the girl was crying, she was real upset."
Gonzales-Woods was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center where his condition has since been upgraded.
