A Department of Natural Resources employee was killed Tuesday in a mowing accident.
It happened on South Shore Drive, on the west side of Lake Manawa, around 2:30 p.m.
Police say 78-year-old Bruce Jensen of Treynor, IA died in the accidental drowning. Authorities say Jensen was using a commercial mower to mow the grass along a steep embankment, when the machine rolled and landed on top of him. He drowned at the scene.
The Iowa DNR says Jensen was a seasonal employee who had worked there or more than one summer.
Police have called the man's death an accident.
