Council Bluffs Police are searching for the three men behind a violent home invasion Tuesday night.

Just before 9:45 p.m., the suspects got into a house near 24th Street & 7th Avenue through an unlocked back door. All three were wearing masks. Two were carrying a handgun and rifle, while the third was armed with a "billy club."

One suspect approached the first victim, 56-year-old Beverly Breeden, in a bedroom of the home, and held a rifle to her head. The other two went into another bedroom and found the second victim, 18-year-old Taylor Shew. An unidentified 16-year-old girl was assaulted, while one suspect held the rifle to her forehead, and demanded money from all the victims. Shew gave the men his wallet.

The suspects then fled the scene in a brown Dodge Durango.

The 16-year-old is recovering from minor rib and head injuries at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs now.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Council Bluffs Crimestoppers at (712) 328-STOP.
