One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 42nd and L streets Friday afternoon. It happend at approximately 4:30.
Police say a 1993 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on L St at a high rate of speed when it entered the 42nd and L Street intersection and collided with a 2000 Ford Explorer. The Explorer was turning from eastbound L St to northbound 42 St.
The driver of the Ford, identified as Jose L. Tejeda-Roman, 20, was unrestrained at time of the collision and was ejected through the driver's side door. He was pinned under his vehicle and suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Tejeda-Roman was cited for having no driver’s license, failure to yield the right-of-way and a seat belt violation.
The driver of the Toyota was identified as Lucas D Gould, 20, of Omaha. He was not hurt but he was cited for reckless driving.
