A 31-year old man was sentenced to serve 13 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to one count of receiving and distributing child pornography. Investigators say his involvement with child porn was extensive.
The investigation into Brent Bailey of Lincoln began January 2011 when Nebraska State Patrol investigators determined a specific IP address was being used to share child pornography over the internet. The IP address belonged to Bailey.
On December 21, 2011, NSP investigators served a search warrant on Bailey’s home. They found a desktop computer which contained more than 317 video and images of child pornography including sexually explicit conduct involving children before puberty.
On Monday, U.S. District Judge John Gerrard sentenced Bailey to serve 13 years in prison. Once he is released from prison, Bailey will serve the rest of his life on supervised release.
