A 21-year-old Omaha woman killed in a tubing crash at Woodcliff Lakes near Fremont has been identified as 21-year-old Mickayla Linn.

The man driving the boat, which was towing Linn on a tube, is 22-year-old Sean Salisbury. Linn and Salisbury are 2009 graduates of Millard North High School.

The Saunders County Sheriff's Department tells Channel 6 News the tube on which Linn was riding swung out and struck another boat that was parked.

23-year old Amanda Linn says she's still coming to grips with the death of her younger sister.

"It's just not real. Every time the door opens I think its going be her. When I see a car pull up I think its going be her, but then I see her pictures around and I know I'm not gonna see that face again."

Ashely Pecoraro, Linn's best friend, says she's surprised that her friend went tubing.

"That was never in her interest," says Pecoraro.

"It wasn't to go tubing, she had a back problem. She just wanted to be there with everyone."

Linn was a business student at Metro Community College. Her friends and family say she was one of a kind who always put others first.

"There wasn't a second in the day when she wasn't smiling or saying something funny to make me laugh if i was sad," says Pecoraro.

Salisbury has been cited for suspicion of negligent boat operation.

The single-boat incident happened about 7 p.m. at Woodcliff Lake in eastern Saunders County, a private lake surrounded by cabins.

In a recent internet posting by the company that provides security at the lake, boat operators were reminded about the dangers of tubing.

Visitation will be held at Heafey Heafey Hoffman & Cutler on 78th and Center Thursday 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the same location, Friday at 10 a.m.
