Convention coming to Omaha. Technology advances to be on display.
The National Association of State Technology Directors, which represents information technology professionals from the 50 states, through four regions, and the private sector, will hold its 34th Annual Conference and Technology Showcase at the Hilton Omaha and CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb., Aug. 28 to Sept. 1.
Continuing its practice of giving back to its host community, NASTD has invited 20 students from Boys Town to visit the Conference and Technology Showcase on Wednesday, Aug. 31. NASTD leaders will escort the students around the showcase and its 36 technology vendors, providing insight into the current world of state government information technology. After touring the showcase, the students will join more than 200 conference attendees at a luncheon presentation by NASA astronaut Clayton Anderson. Afterward, the students will have the opportunity to meet and speak with Anderson.
NASTD is also planning a silent auction and will donate proceeds and other donations from conference attendees to Boys Town.
