Investigators say the man, who died from injuries he sustained in a fall at a Council Bluffs casino, was only in the establishment for a few minutes prior to the incident.
The Council Bluffs Emergency Medical Service Operations Manager said 62-year-old Robert Mcintyre of Omaha was going from the second floor to the third floor of Ameristar Casino-Hotel, on an escalator, when he stumbled and fell over a railing, dropping 20 to 25 feet to the first floor.
McIntyre was taken to an Omaha hospital where he died.
According to surveillance video, he was only inside the casino for three to four minutes. He had not gambled or had anything to drink.
