In a news release, library executive director Gary Wasdin said, “After 23 years of service, Abrahams Branch is ready for rejuvenation. As one of our busiest branches, it is valued by our community. This will be a great opportunity for us to ensure that it continues to meet needs well into the future.”

Among the improvements users will see once the project is completed: centralized service desk, a computer lab, a small group meeting room, a teen room, an expanded children’s section, new carpet & furniture, acoustical ceilings to reduce noise, laptop tables, and energy efficient lighting.

The project is expected to take four months.
