The annual Omaha Farmers Market opened Saturday in the Old Market.
More than 100 vendors offered everything from fresh fruits and veggies to baked goods and flowers in the area around 11th and Jackson.
The Farmers Market traces its roots back nearly 100 years. Vendors say they can't wait for the season to start up each year. "It's a great time for our family, it's very unique and something that we enjoy doing every year,” said Rebecca Stratbucker. We get to see lots of people and returning customers, so it's just a great time."
The Farmers Market will be open for business from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Saturday from now until October 13th, and every Sunday between May 6th and October 14th at Aksarben Village, 67th and Center, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
