A 47-year-old Omaha attorney has been named a county court judge in Douglas County.
The office of Gov. Dave Heineman said Friday that the governor had selected Michael Nelson.
The governor's office says Nelson has practiced law for 20 years in Nebraska and is a graduate of Creighton University School of Law.
The vacancy was created by the retirement of Judge Lyn White.
