An Omaha woman who allegedly stole $4 million from her employer took a plea deal to reduced theft charges on Monday morning.
Fifty-four-year-old Caroline Richardson faced three felony counts of theft for allegedly embezzling $4 million from Colombo Candy & Tobacco Wholesale.
The theft happened over a nearly 2 year period according to court documents, from 2010 to 2012.
Two of the three counts were dropped, and Richardson plead guilty to one count of felony theft by deception in Douglas County court on Monday.
Richardson is scheduled to be sentenced for the felony theft charge later this month.
She is currently serving 5 to 10 years for tax evasion stemming from the same incident at Colombo Candy & Tobacco Wholesale.
