An Omaha woman serving as an interpreter was arrested in Lincoln Thursday night for allegedly taking money from an elderly woman's bank account and using her identity to obtain a credit card.
LPD says 19-year-old Martha Rik had access to the personal information of a 64-year-old Lincoln woman and used that information to remove $12,653 from the victim’s bank account between December 9, 2013 and May 15th of this year.
Rik also got a credit card in the victim’s name, charging $1,591 at convenience stores, clothing stores and restaurants.
