Omaha police are investigating the death of a man who collapsed while working on a roof in West Omaha.
First responders were called to a home, in the area of 168th and West Center, around 11:15 Tuesday morning. According to officials, two men were working on the roof, when one man heard the victim, 52-year-old Walter Bequette, stop hammering. The man said he walked to the other side of the roof and found Bequette in a fetal position, not moving.
Omaha firefighters were able to lower Bequette off the roof and rushed him to the hospital in extremely critical condition; however, he was later pronounced dead.
Police are investigating, but do not believe there is anything suspicious surrounding Bequette's death.
