Shooting Victim Identified, Suspect Pedaled Away

Omaha police are looking for the gunman who witnesses say left a shooting scene Friday afternoon on a bicycle.

Police called to 33rd and Chicago near Gifford Park just after 12:30 p.m. found 33-year-old Adrian Hudson suffering an arm wound not considered to be life threatening. He was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center and is in critical condition. Officers told Channel 6 News Hudson was being uncooperative with the investigation.

Matt Gorda was outside gardening when he heard the gunshots. “I heard a pop, pop, pop, pop and then a little while later you hear the siren and then you hear them close by. It's scary because I send my nephew down here to the corner store to get Gatorades and goodies all the time and I know all of those shots probably didn't land."

Neighborhood resident David Collie said there's nothing to do now but more forward. “You can be as careful as you want and you can't really choose where you live and you can't choose what happens around you, so it's just a matter of making it happen and living life the way you can and hope that everybody's safe."
