Omaha Police are investigating a pair of robberies from overnight, and whether they might be connected to a string of similar robberies in recent months.
Just before 11:30 Wednesday night, two masked robbers held up the BP at 140th and West Center Road. Radio reports indicate the robbers showed a gun and demanded money. One of the robbers was reportedly wearing a purple mask. The two left with money and possibly cigarettes.
Police broadcast the description of a black mid-1990s Chevrolet Cavalier.
At around 2:30 Thursday morning police were called to a second robbery. Omaha police say a male robber who was wearing a mask held up the Shell station at 132nd and Grover. He was dressed in dark gray and showed a gun. He left with an undetermined amount of cash.
No one was reported hurt in either robbery. No word on any suspects or arrests.
